Enjoy a screening of a filmed 2018 London production of the brilliant stage musical adaptation of the groundbreaking 1933 musical movie of the same name.
Like the film, this film is the backstage story of acclaimed but desperate Broadway director Julian Marsh who is determined to launch a hit to culminate his career. But from casting to rehearsals and meddling investors the fraught production risks collapsing when his leading lady is unable to make the premiere.
In addition to songs from the “42nd Street” movie, the score is filled with songs from several other popular 1930’s films.
