Advent is the spiritual name among most Christians for the period leading up to Christmas. The name was adopted from Latin word “adventus” which translates to English as “arrival.” Many scholars believe that Advent was first recognized sometime in the 5th century.
Interspersed through the evening will be prayers and choral performances.
