Join genealogists, authors and DNA analysts Shannon Christmas, Michael Williams and Alonna Carter for a day-long workshop on African American genealogy and understanding DNA.

Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) is a molecule composed of two chains that coil around each other to form a double helix carrying a life form’s basic genetic code. It is complimented by the molecule ribonucleic acid (RNA) which evolves as the said life ages.

Benefitting beginners and seasoned genealogists alike, this in-depth workshop will examine the basics of genealogical research, how DNA can be used to help you break down genealogy brick walls, different types of DNA resources and what your DNA results can reveal about you.
