Faith, family and self-worth are at the core of this incredibly rendered play.
The story centers on 21-year-old college basketball sensation Khady Salama. She is bright, gifted and the daughter of a supportive Muslim family. But that support is challenged when the championship commonly called March Madness is scheduled in her religion’s holy month. Khady’s religious mother expects her to fast — even on game days.
Winning at all costs will force Khady to grapple with her faith and confront some uncomfortable truths about who she’s meant to be.
