Big Blitz is a local trio that was born from the sounds of dance, rock and jazz improvisation.
The band writes and performs its own, original tunes, which contain a spacious, powerful, hip sound. Whether plugged in or acoustic, Big Blitz delivers a high energy performance that funkies with your brain and flows down to your feet.
This free, outdoor concert is being staged in the “Back Yard,” a space in the parking lot located at the corner of Penn Avenue and Eighth Street. Presented as part of the Three Rivers Arts Festival, a 10-day celebration of visual and performing arts produced by the nonprofit Pittsburgh Cultural Trust and primarily sponsored by local financial firm Dollar Bank.
