The world’s most iconic animated comedy shorts –– starring characters such as Bugs Bunny –– will be projected on the big screen, while their exhilarating original scores are played live by the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.

Founded in 1895 by British composer, conductor and organist Frederic Archer (1838-1901), the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra is one of America’s oldest and most prestigious orchestras having performed around the world including a 2004 concert for Pope John Paul II (1920-2005).

Bugs Bunny is one of the beloved characters in the Looney Tunes canon of Warner Bros. film studio. He’s gray and white rabbit who is famous for his flippant, insouciant personality and the hilarious tricks he performs on other characters like Elmer Fudd and Daffy Duck. The “Bugs Bunny at the Symphony” program began in 1990 at the Civic Theatre in San Diego before a limited Broadway run later that year. The production has been touring the world continuously since and has played to a total international audience of almost two million people.
