Humphrey Bogart and Ingrid Bergman made cinematic history with this classic 1942 film helmed by director Michael Curtiz.
The film is set in German/French controlled Morocco where an American named Rick Blaine (Bogart) runs a popular, if shady, nightclub. His life soon moves from shady to dangerous when his ex-lover (Bergman) suddenly arrives with her new husband — a fugitive leader of the resistance movement — seeking his help.
Among the film’s many accolades, is the Academy Award for Outstanding Motion Picture.
