The internationally acclaimed Cirque du Soleil stages this amazing show under the creative guidance of Brazilian choreographer Deborah Colker and the music of Brazilian composer Berna Ceppas.
Established in 1984, Cirque du Soleil is a Canadian theatrical company that produces shows that are a synthesis of circus styles from around the world, each with its own central theme and storyline. These shows employ continuous live music, with performers rather than stagehands changing the props.
“Ovo” in inspired by the world of insects (the Portuguese word “ovo” translates into English as “egg”). The show presents a world teeming with life. Insects work, play, fight and look for love in a non-stop riot of energy in motion. Their home is filled with biodiversity, beauty, action and moments of quiet emotion. The awestruck insects are intensely curious when a mysterious egg appears, representing the enigma and cycles of their lives.
