This charming 2021 film smoothly blends live-action with digital animation to the tell of one very special puppy.
That puppy is a cute red pooch called Clifford. The runt of his mother’s litter, Clifford is adopted by lonely preteen Emily Elizabeth (Darby Camp). The two form and instant connection with Emily’s love having a surprising result — Clifford grows to an enormous size.
The film is an adaptation of the beloved series of children’s books written by author/cartoonist Norman Bridwell (1928-2014) and introduced in 1963. Clifford has since become the mascot of the Scholastic Corporation, the books’ publisher.
