Dixie Surewood, Pittsburgh’s own National Comedy Queen, presents her special showtunes sing along,

The slang word “drag” refers to a person (usually male) who assumes the exaggerated dress and mannerisms of the other gender for artistic or entertainment purposes. For centuries, men have dressed as women during traditional customs and rituals. In medieval England, when women were banned from appearing on stage, men in dresses was common in plays. The term “drag” first appeared in the 1870’s and may have derived from the sensation of long skirts trailing on the floor.

This fabled revue show has it all—lip syncing to the standards, live singing, Dixie’s famous tap solo, and, of course, the greatest drag outfits in town.
