Join experienced staff and volunteer docents as they take you on a guided tour through the library.

Established in 1890 through a gift by industrialist Andrew Carnegie (1835-1919), the Carnegie is Pittsburgh’s public library system with 19 branches scattered throughout the city. The main library is part of a historic, L-shaped structure that also includes the Carnegie Museum Of Art and the Carnegie Museum Of Natural History.

You’ll get a look at the wonderful art and architecture that created this historic landmark, as well as how the building’s interior has changed over time. An additional tour will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. For more information, call (412) 622-3151.
