The Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra performs the score live to this classic 1990 holiday film as it screens overhead.
Founded in 1895 by British composer, conductor and organist Frederic Archer (1838-1901), the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra is one of America’s oldest and most prestigious orchestras having performed around the world including a 2004 concert for Pope John Paul II (1920-2005).
“Home Alone” is a slap-stick comedy about 8-year-old Kevin McCallister (Macaulay Culkin) who is accidentally left home alone during the chaotic holiday season when the family leaves for a Christmas vacation. While his parents race to return, Kevin find himself battling a pair of bumbling burglars (Joe Pesci, Daniel Stern).
