Jim Carrey delivers a wonderfully mischievous performance in the title role of this 2000 film adaptation of the beloved children’s book and subsequent TV special.
Set in the colorful town of Whoville, this the story of a cave-dwelling creature (Carrey) who resents the local population and hates Christmas enough to try and spoil the holiday for everyone.
The film originated with the 1957 book of the same title written in rhymed verse by Theodore “Dr. Seuss” Geisel (1904-1991). It was adapted to a classic animated television Christmas special in 1966.
