Mark the 40th anniversary of the Pritzker Architecture Prize with this impressive exhibition in the museum’s Heinz Architectural Center.

The Pritzker Architecture Prize was founded in 1979 by entrepreneur Jay A. Pritzker (1922-1999) to honor a living architect or architects whose built work has produced consistent and significant contributions to humanity.

To mark the prize’s 40th anniversary, Raymund Ryan — curator of the Heinz Architectural Center — presents work by Pritzker laureates from the museum’s collection. Bolstered by several recent acquisitions, these drawings, models, furniture and photographs are meant to stimulate the imaginations of museum visitors.
