Nostalgia takes the stage as The Strand presents a concert event saluting those famous USO shows produced for our troops overseas back in the 1940s and 50s.
Established in 1941, the United Service Organizations (USO) is a nonprofit-charitable corporation that provides live entertainment, social facilities and other programs to members of the United States Armed Forces and their families. The USO is most associated with World War II (1939-1945) when traveling USO shows provided relief to fighting men and women.
Expect non-stop music, comedy and ‘backstage’ hijinks.
