The beautiful and talented singer Joan Ellison is on a mission to celebrate the artistry of Judy Garland.
Actress and singer Judy Garland (1922-1969) gained fame through classic movies such as 1939’s “The Wizard of Oz” and 1948’s “Easter Parade”. She was known for brassy and powerful contralto voice.
Much of Joan’s show is inspired by Judy’s legendary 1961 concert at Carnegie Hall, which has been called “the greatest night in show business history.” The concert included favorites such as “Over the Rainbow” and “The Trolley Song.” The two-disc live recording of the concert won the Grammy Award for Album of the Year. This made Judy Garland the first woman to receive the honor.
This is an “all-ages” concert.
