This two-day extravaganza celebrates the proud tradition of labor in Western Pennsylvania.

Labor Day in the United States is a holiday celebrating men and women who are employed in manual labor. It is believed that the idea originated with union leader Peter J. McGuire (1852-1906) in 1882. Starting on the state level, Labor Day received national status in 1894 when it received federal recognition as an official holiday. Culturally, Labor Day is often seen as the “unofficial end of summer.”

Expect lots of family entertainment including a “one-ring circus” and carnival rides.

Admission is free. For more information, call (724) 830-3000.
