This exhibition showcases artists Lauren Scavo’s landscapes, which examine the connection between one’s consciousness and the surrounding environment —- specifically the way in which our individual experience of a place influences our subjective interpretation of it.
Lauren intentionally manipulates sources of light and contrast to exaggerate the way in which the mind processes visual clues. While the works appear photographic, closer inspection reveals tiny little expressive marks that create what she calls the “illusion of objectivity”.
