This 2021 computer animated film is a wonderful tale of adventure and friendship. Set on coastal Italy, the story centers on a young sea creature named Luca Paguro (voice of Jacob Tremblay) who assumes human form to explore a nearby town.

“Luca” is largely inspired by director and co-writer Enrico Cassarosa’s childhood in Genoa. One of Italy’s largest cities, Genoa has been an important port along the Mediterranean Sea for centuries with its rich history on full display.

Admission is free. Times given are approximations; the film will begin at dusk. Presented by the City of Pittsburgh Department of Parks and Recreation (a.k.a. CitiParks) and sponsored by Dollar Bank.
