This smart and funny 2019 Polish film is set in post-World War II (1939-1945) Warsaw, where pervasive uncertainty, denunciation and control are as constant as vodka. Among these residents is a writer known simply as Mister T, who has begun a passionate affair with the beautiful, young student he’s been tutoring. But this relatively quiet life devolves into turmoil when an aspiring journalist moves in next door — a young man who is being closely watched by the authorities.
