Only in Pittsburgh for a limited time, this blockbuster exhibition provides a window into the lives of ancient people from every region of the world including Europe, South America and Africa, offering unprecedented insights into past cultures and civilizations.

A mummy is a deceased human or animal whose body has been chemically preserved so that it does not decay further if kept in cool and dry conditions. Mummies have been found on every continent but is most associated with Ancient Egypt where it began around 2800 BCE.

The exhibition enthralls guests with dramatic displays of the mummies and their personal stories, as well as state-of-the-art multimedia stations that take visitors on a 4,500-year journey to explore the mummies’ history and origins as well as how they were created, both naturally and intentionally.
