This engrossing and stylish play is a brilliant adaptation of the 1934 novel Murder on the Orient Express written by the great English author Agatha Christie (1890-1976).
The setting is the magnificent Orient Express, a magnificent transportation service begun in 1883 that connected Istanbul to Calais until 2009. Christie’s famous Belgian detective Hercule Poirot boards this even more famous train in 1934. His fellow passengers include royalty, a famous actress and a French nurse. But it’s the murder of the mysterious American calling himself Ratchett that ratchets up the tension as Poirot investigates the crime.
American playwright Ken Ludwig debuted this brilliant adaptation in 2017.
