Overly’s Country Christmas is a unique, old-fashioned, walk-around Christmas village, filled with traditional sights, sounds, treats and things to do that are reminiscent of Christmas of long-ago.
The exhibit began humbly in 1956 as a small light display at the home of businessman Harry Overly (1930 -1998). Encouraged by his four children, Harry added to the display each successive year. The display became so large that it had to be moved to larger locations (and is now at the Westmoreland Fairgrounds).
This annual program is produced by Overly’s Country Christmas, a nonprofit organization operated mainly by volunteers. Proceeds benefit regional family and children’s charities. For more information, call (724) 423-1400.
