The winner of multiple awards, Piff the Magic Dragon is the stage persona of British magician and comedian John van der Put.
Piff is a spoof of the title character in the popular 1962 song “Puff, the Magic Dragon.” The lyrics tell a story of the ageless dragon Puff and his playmate, Jackie Paper, a little boy who grows up and loses interest in the imaginary adventures of childhood and leaves Puff to be with himself.
John becomes Piff by dressing in a green, red and yellow dragon costume. Piff then dazzles the audience with astonishing illusions delivered in a deadpan style with plenty of self-deprecating humor. This is an “all-ages” show.
