Pittsburgh’s legendary professional baseball team — the winner of five World Series trophies — wraps up the 2019 season with three consecutive games against the Cincinnati Reds.
With an impressive history dating to 1882, the team is often known by the nicknames “Bucs” and “Buccos,” derived from another name for pirates, buccaneers.
Friday night’s game concludes with fireworks. The first 20,000 patrons to Saturday’s game will each receive a special pair of bobble-head figurines, one of a Pirates team member and the other of sports announcer (and former Pirate) Steve Blass. Sunday’s game is designated as a “Kids Day” with additional activities.
