Internationally recognized as one of today’s most acclaimed and admired pianists, Yefim Bronfman (pictured) shares the stage with the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra.
Founded in 1895 by British composer, conductor and organist Frederic Archer (1838-1901), the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra (PSO) is one of America’s oldest and most prestigious orchestras having performed around the world including a 2004 concert for Pope John Paul II (1920-2005).
The program includes the heroic, novel “Emperor Concerto” written by German composer Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827) and the local debut of a work by contemporary South Korean composer Unsuk Chin.
