This exhibition is the result of an intensive ceramic studio residency where four artists explore historic architectural terracotta and digital fabrication.

Terracotta is a type of earthenware that has been used for thousands of years to create everything from kitchen tools to elaborate sculpture. Digital fabrication (sometimes called 3D printing) uses computer software to guide in the creation of physical versions of digital objects.

The exhibition asks how the broader ideals of earlier art movements can be realized today — and specifically, how the workshop and contemporary tools facilitate collaboration in small-scale production.
