This highly praised 2011 animated film uses cutting edge technology in adapting a beloved story book character to the screen.

Tintin is the name of a young reporter and adventurer created in 1929 by Belgian cartoonist Georges “Herge” Remi (1907-1983). The intelligent and kind Tintin is joined by his dog Snowy in solving mysteries.

In this film, Tintin and Snowy are kidnapped as part of an adventure to Morocco involving antique models and hidden treasure.

Admission is free. Because the screening begins at dusk, the times given here are approximations. Presented by the City of Pittsburgh’s Parks & Recreation Department, commonly called CitiParks. For more information, call (412) 255-2493.
