A unique piece of cinematic history is the focus of this exhibition.

The piece in question is the 1966 experimental film “The Chelsea Girls” directed by Andy Warhol and Paul Morrissey. Shot at New York City’s historic Hotel Chelsea, it follows the lives of several of the young women who live there. The film offers the world a genuine glimpse into Warhol’s New York underground of the 1960’s through film tableaux featuring beauty, sex, drugs and danger.

This exhibition showcases the film and a selection of promotional material, photography, and art, while revealing the extent of the film’s influence on cinema and popular culture during its time.
