The winner of five Academy Awards, this powerful 1978 film provides an in-depth examination of the ways in which the Vietnam War (1955-1975) impacts and disrupts the lives of people in a small industrial town in Pennsylvania.

This film is set in 1968 as three long-time friends (Robert De Niro, Christopher Walken and John Savage) prepare to ship out overseas following one final group hunting trip.

Visitors will have a chance to explore the center’s current exhibit on the Vietnam War and participate in an interesting discussion.

The evening is “pay what you wish,” which means admission comes at whatever cost you’re willing and able to pay. Refreshments will be available for sale, and the History Center will close to the public at the conclusion of the film screening.
