The area’s only live-orchestra version of this iconic ballet will take you on a magical, musical trip to the land of the Sugarplum Fairy, waltzing snowflakes and enchanted toys.
“The Nutcracker” made its debut in 1892 featuring an eternal score written by noted Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky (1840-1893). Set on Christmas Eve, its the tale of a little girl named Clara who receives a magical nutcracker that leads her into the radiant Land of Enchantment — a place brimming with virtuosic dances from faraway lands
Featuring the Westmoreland Symphony Orchestra and Texture Contemporary Ballet. There will also be a matinee performance at 11:00 a.m.
