Follow the yellow brick road to Heinz Hall as conductor Lawrence Loh, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra and three bewitching vocalists explore all things Oz.

Written by L. Frank Baum (1856-1919), the delightful 1900 children’s novel, The Wonderful Wizard of Oz, has been adapted to all kinds of media. The most famous of these is the 1939 film starring Judy Garland as a Kansas farm girl whisked to a magical land called Oz.

This program features songs from the novel’s various incarnation, including the 1939 film and the 1975 Broadway musical “The Wiz.”
