A pair of classic 1990’s bands — Third Eye Blind and Jimmy Eat World — join creative forces for one powerful night of music.
Founded and led by the songwriting duo Stephan Jenkins and Kevin Cadogan, the five-member band Third Eye Blind crafts an inventive blend of rock edginess and bright sound. Born in the heat of suburban Phoenix, the foursome Jimmy Eat World enthusiastically embraces a blend of alternative rock and power pop that warms the heart and stimulates the head.
Third Eye Blind’s name is in reference to the imagined, esoteric and invisible “third eye” that many Asian beliefs contend exists on a person’s forehead.
Jimmy Eat World’s unique name is rooted in a healthy sibling rivalry: drummer and co-founder Zach Lind used to get into fights with younger brothers Jim and Ed. After Jim won an incident, Ed drew a crayon picture of Jim shoveling the Earth in his mouth. The scrawl beneath the picture read “Jimmy eat world.”
This is an “all-ages” concert.
