Welcome to a learning circle of individuals that are passionate about Italian language, literature, culture and immersive conversation at an intermediate level.

One of Europe’s oldest countries, Italy is located on a peninsula jutting out into the Mediterranean Sea. Centuries ago, Italy’s capital city of Rome was the capital of one of the world’s greatest empires. The native language is rooted in Latin, which was the primary language of that empire. Today, Italian is spoken by some 85 million people, mostly in Italy, Switzerland and some parts of Africa.

We Learn is a Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh program that uses volunteer-facilitated peer learning groups.
