This energetic and inventive musical is the groundbreaking story of America at its birth as told by contemporary America.

Incorporating hip hop, rhythm & blues, pop, soul and¬†traditional-style show tunes, the musical centers on controversial American statesman Alexander Hamilton (1757-1804). Among his accomplishments was crafting the new nation’s financial system. But he was also a complicated man:¬†an immigrant who sometimes distrusted immigrants and a New York resident who was active in the slave trade.

The musical uses a multi-racial cast and follows Hamilton’s life from his orphan childhood through the American Revolution (1775-1783) and his death after losing a duel. The score includes unforgettable works like the title song, “You’ll Be Back” and “Wait for It.”
