Enjoy a screening of inventive animated short films created by the acclaimed Studio Ponoc.
Studio Ponoc was founded in 2015 by Oscar-nominated Japanese animator Yoshiaki Nishimura, It’s first feature film, 2017’s “Mary and the Witch’s Flower” became a huge success earning more than $41 million in Japanese theaters.
These films showcase some of Studio Ponoc’s most accomplished artists. Among them is “Kanini & Kanino,” about two crab brothers who embark on a grand underwater adventure.
Presented as part of the Pittsburgh Japanese Film Fest, a celebration of Japanese culture through the cinematic arts.
