First airing in 1998 as a local Minneapolis television series, “Mystery Science Theater 3000” follows the travails of a human and robot pals whose captors subject them to a unique form of torcher: watching bad movies. The group manages to survive each session by heckling what’s on the screen.
Join host Emily and the world’s greatest (and only ) movie riffing robots — Tom Servo, Crow and GPC — as they take you on an exhilarating rollercoaster ride through the 1985 film “Making Contact.” This terrifically terrible movie (also known as “Joey”) concerns a 9-year-old boy and an evil ventriloquist dummy.
