Mardis Gras (French for “Fat Tuesday”) celebrates the last night of consuming rich and fatty foods before the Lenten fast. Lent is the period when Christians commemorate Jesus’ desert fasting just before starting his ministry. Culturally, Mardis Gras is most associated with the city of New Orleans which uses it as the climax to the city’s annual Carnival festival.
This is an age 21+ event with proceeds benefiting the lodge’s community programs.
