The Grinch is the central character in the 1957 children’s book How the Grinch Stole Christmas written by Theodor “Dr. Seuss” Geisel (1904-1991). Using rhymed verse, the book follows a cranky green creature who tries to spoil Christmas for the people in the town of Whoville. The was adapted into a classic TV special in 1966 and as a feature film in 2007.
