The Pittsburgh Japanese Film Festival, the theater’s annual showcase of vintage and contemporary Japanese cinema, opens this year’s program with a special screening of the 2002 animated movie “Tamala 2010: A Punk Cat in Space.”
“Tamala 2010” is an inventive work about cat living in the “Feline Galaxy” who meets a new friend after crashing on another world and embarks on a quest for hidden truths.
There will also be a matinee screening at 6:15pm. Opening night tickets come with gift bags and other fun surprises.
