This year’s Pittsburgh Japanese Film Festival — the theater’s annual showcase of vintage and contemporary Japanese cinema — concludes with this imaginative 1982 film.
A signature work of director Gakuryu Ishii (pictured), “Burst City” showcases Tokyo’s leading punk bands of the 1970’s through a story of rebellion set in a dystopian future.
There will also be a matinee screening at 6:00pm. The evening includes live music and refreshments.
