Rising from a troubled Los Angeles neighborhood in 1989, the group Pharcyde — Emandu “Imani” Wilcox, Trevant “Slimkid3” Hardson, Derrick “Fatlip” Stewart (and originally, Romye “Booty Brown” Robinson) — specializes in a colorful, facetious, fun and utterly authentic form of hip-hop.
Admission is free. Presented as part of the Three Rivers Arts Festival, a celebration of the arts in Pittsburgh since 1960. The festival is a production of the nonprofit Pittsburgh Cultural Trust.
