Actor, comedian and activist Christopher Caldwell becomes fabulous as the glamorous “Bob the Drag Queen”

The slang word “drag” refers to a person (usually male) who assumes the exaggerated dress and mannerisms of the other gender for artistic or entertainment purposes. For centuries, men have dressed as women during traditional customs and rituals. In medieval England, when women were banned from appearing on stage, men in dresses were common in plays. The term “drag” first appeared in the 1870’s and may have derived from the sensation of long skirts trailing on the floor.

Bob The Drag Queen describes herself as “hilarious, beautiful, talented and . . . humble.” Fans and critics alike are unanimous about the first three. Bob’s style has bite while offering thoughtful insights.
