South Korean pansori pop band Leenalchi crafts subtle inflections of sound that transmit meaning beyond specific language — be it Korean or English.
Pansori is a genre of musical storytelling performed by a singer and drummer that emerged in 17th century Korea. (Although Leenalchi has seven members).
The band’s overall aesthetic has been shaped in part by visionary bassist Young Gyu Jang, who has also created several horror film soundtracks.
This is an “all-ages” concert.
