With rare footage and plenty of interviews with musicians and critics, this 2009 documentary reflects on a watershed moment in the history of jazz.

In 1959, four important jazz albums were released by legendary artists Miles Davis (1926-1991), Dave Brubeck (1920-2012), Charles Mingus  (1922-1979) and Ornette Coleman (1930-2015) .
