Spend an evening of song and conversation with Will Oldham.
Singer and songwriter William Oldham is a man of many names — Bonnie “Prince” Billy, Palace Brothers, Palace Songs and Palace Music — but a singular sound: a punkish form of folk-rock delivered with his distinctive voice.
Will’s various stage names were inspired by the Palace Flophouse, a location featured in the 1945 novel Cannery Row written by John Steinbeck (1902-1968). He is also an occasional actor who has appeared in various films including “Matewan” (1987) and “A Ghost Story” (2017).
Tonight, he will discuss and read from his collection of lyrics, Songs of Love and Horror, as well as play a few select songs and sign copies. For more information, call (412) 224-2847.
