Drop by for an evening of reading and discussion with debut novelists Pitchaya Sudbanthad and Ingrid Rojas Contreras.

Pitchaya Sudbantha’s  Bangkok Wakes to Rain uses the story of a missionary as an elegy for what time erases and a love song to all that persists, yearning, into the unknowable future.

Ingrid Rojas Contreras’s Fruit of the Drunken Tree contrasts two very different, but inextricable coming-of-age stories: two girls living carefree lives thanks to their gated community in Bogotá and the shy young woman from the slums hired by their mother.
