Local music collective Bombici performs an innovative interpretation of Balkan folk songs.
The Balkans is a geographic region of southeastern Europe. This area has been populated since around 5000BCE and has fallen under the control of various powers (notably the Ottoman Empire). This mingling of people over thousands of years as resulted in a rich, complicated culture. Much of the region today is home to Albania, Bosnia, Croatia and other nations.
Bombici’s unique sound draws from American jazz and hard rock traditions.
This is an “all-ages” concert.
