With a dazzling technique, the three impressive musicians of Chatham Baroque perform lively interpretations of baroque music played on instruments of the time.

The Baroque Era was a period in European history during the 17th & 18th centuries noted for highly ornate and often extravagant style. Baroque architecture used contrast, detail, grandeur and surprise to achieve a sense of awe. Music of the period was equally elaborate and typically involved much improvisation. The term baroque is a variation of the Portuguese word for an irregularly shaped pearl.

This program celebrates the collective virtuosity, talent and teamwork of artistic directors Andrew Fouts, Patricia Halverson and Scott Pauley as they continue their boundless exploration of intimate chamber music from the Baroque and beyond.
