In this walking tour, explore classical architecture in downtown Pittsburgh, including 414 Wood Street, Benedum Trees Building, the Engineer’s Society, Dollar Bank, the City County Building, the Frick Building and the Oliver Building.

The classical orders of architecture have roots in Ancient Greece and Rome. A couple thousand years later, the Doric, Ionic and Corinthian orders are present throughout downtown.

There will be a second tour at 2:00 p.m. Presented as part of Doors Open Pittsburgh, which celebrates Pittsburgh’s unique heritage by providing visual storytelling and education inside iconic and newly designed buildings. For more information, call (412) 583-1424.
